This book, rich with high quality photography, serves as a reference for primary care practitioners in the care of their patients with ocular complaints. For convenience, this edition contains software that can be downloaded to a PDA.
It is targeted at any clinician, in practice or training, involved in direct patient care.The book intends to help the user recognize ophthalmic disease, treat the problem, or refer to the specialist, as appropriate. As primary care clinicians are likely to encounter many complaints related to eye disease, a better understanding and familiarity with the scope of potential problems is very useful. The authors do a good job of presenting the information in a practical way.

Great for medicak students and internal med residents

It an easy and quick read, good for starter but not enough. Covers common possible eye problems you may face in a primary care setting , great for students and residents who are thinking to chose primary care as future path. May not be enough for young PCPs. It has great pictures.

quick easy to read reference

I am a family physician and wanted something to reference for opthomology visits. I like, but don't love this book. The information in there, and is current and accurate, but its not always easy to find. Very good pics. Overall, a useful book.

I am really glad I purchased this book. I am a student FNP and this book has photos and also describes what to look for in your exam. Definitely highly recommend!
