Each move is fully illustrated in photographs and outlined in text. I began my studies of Thai Massage (which is done on a mat on the floor) early in my massage career. I saw that many of the stretches could be incorporated into massage on the table. Over the years, since 1988, I've picked up many moves from sports massage training, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and many other modalities. This book is the culmination of those efforts.

About the Author
I graduated from Seattle Massage School in 1988, began my studies in Thai massage soon thereafter and received my teaching certificate to teach in 1997. Since then I have maintained a private practice in Seattle. I teach internationally. In addition to The Passive Stretch Workbook, I also wrote The Thai Massage Workbook and produced three instructional DVDs.

INCREDIBLE BOOK!

I found Kay's book to be such a joy to read, The wonderfull photographs along with clear text made it very user freindly.
It is a must for all LMP's! I recommended it to all my massage students as a great text book. it has over 120 stretches and a section of self care. which is so important for our longiviity!The spiral bound cover is a nice bonus,it makes it so much easier to reference.

Great book

This book is very clearly written and illustrated (actually photographs).

Kay describes the stretch reflex, the 3 types of stretching, and gives some guidelines on when to use which type.

There are over 120 stretches to do with clients and over 25 ways to stretch yourself.

I think this is a great "learning" resource, as well as a good reference book and I would recommend it highly.

A great tool for massage therapists

This easy-to-use (spiral) workbook is a great tool for massage therapists. The text is explicit and to the point and the photographs supporting each stretch are very clear. An excellent text for what it set out to do.
