About the Author
Russ Miller (Buffalo, NY) is the Director of the Center for Computational Research and a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY-Buffalo). He co-authored Parallel Algorithms for Regular Architectures: Meshes and Pyramids (The MIT Press, 1996) with Q.F. Stout.

Good..but could be improved upon

THis is a great book for working on independence...yet i feel that it is missing something that some of the other classics have. I can't put my finger on it...but it just lacks the desire to jump in and play (like on complete modern drumset). Otherwise not a bad book. Didn't care for the play-a-long tracks as much as other books...Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials has some really awesome play along tracks that are far superior in my opinion
