Reginald Reggie Herrera has been feeling out of sorts for a while. Amazingly different M/M romance with a twist !!

* We have an interesting, very different dynamic here. * Older man, fit, healthy, self-sufficient, bald, Electrician, Reggie, is on vacation at his cabin. (I'm picturing hard body Bruce Willis) He's having a great fly-fishing afternoon, catching trout. Along floats a man on a tube, who hits his head on a rock, so, Reggie saves the unconscious guy, and finds out he's got amnesia. So, all other questions aside, Reggie goes into caretaker/rescuer mode. He calls for help from cop friends, Carl and Ryan, and also doctor friend, Morgan, for concussion advice. The younger man doesn't remember everything, but is full of fear. Younger, slim, blonde, cute "Miguel" is 25, while Reggie is 55. Reggie has repressed his "gay" urges throughout his whole life, married and raised three kids. His wife passed ten yrs. ago. Miguel is "out', open and interested in the older man. The build up is slow, steady, and full of anticipation. There is soul searching, internal indecision, self questioning, and wonderment. We have terrific characters, an even paced mystery plot and later on some very hot sex. It's first time "man" kiss (41%) and later sex for Reggie, and he wants more. Yes, it's a big age difference, but both men are old enough to know what they feel. Miguel has already had a tough life and deserves happiness and security. Reggie has waited his whole life to finally be himself. So, I cheered for these two "misfits" and for what may come. I felt hope !!
I recommend this one. ENJOY !!!
(SPOILER: It seems the old/young age dynamic isn't for everyone. I just read it the way I thought the author meant it to be read. It's an unusual circumstance and a chance for two mismatched opposites to be attracted, given the right surroundings. Miguel is blonde in the story, so the cover is misleading. )

... at the start I have to say I truly like Charlie Richards

Right at the start I have to say I truly like Charlie Richards. I own 60 of her books. I especially like the Wolves of Stoneridge, A Paranormal's Love and A Loving Nip series. I decided to try this Carry Me series because, again, I like the author. So far, I have mostly enjoyed all of the books. In this book, although I'm not fond of huge age differences (I'm always envisioning how sad the younger will be when the older dies and how little time they will actually have together), the story was very engaging and even exciting and her locations are always realistic. I also liked the fact that the author "kept in touch" with characters from previous books in the series.
Warning, what follows is soapbox time.
Not knowing the actual process to get a book ready for publication into an E-book, I'm giving the author the benefit of the doubt. I should have mentioned this problem after the very first book I read (Wolves of Stoneridge series), which is: there is absolutely no good reason to have a blank page between chapters. I am a very fast reader and I often read my Kindle on the treadmill so that extra page is a huge annoyance (I still have a Kindle with buttons to turn the pages). Please, please stop putting it there. I have rarely encountered this problem in other E-books.
For the record, I also have to say again how much I HATE Amazon's new review system. I think it's a major disservice to the authors since I don't do reviews anymore unless something really bothers me.
