This Math Teacher Loves This Prep Book

As a high school math teacher, I am very impressed by this text. I wish that it was the primary text that my school is using for our ACT class. Wonderful examples and explanations, broken down by category so students can go directly to the section(s) where they know they are lacking.

offers explanation AND plenty of practice problems...

I purchased 4 ACT prep books through Amazon for my high school sons, and after using them for 3 weeks, I can say that Amsco's book is the best. There are diagnostic tests to determine areas of weakness, and then corresponding lessons are offered based on the problems missed. There is no guesswork - the book spells out exactly what page numbers to go to for review practice if the student misses a particular problem. In addition, there are around 20-25 problems for the student to practice the concept they're struggling with, along with 5 ACT-type problems that deal with the math concept. I haven't used the science portion of the text yet, but if the math is any indication, I'm sure I'll be pleased.

Good Math review

After reviewing multiple other books and resources to help with my daughter's ACT retest, I found the Postman books to be very solid.
Would buy both Postman books, the Real ACT Test Book, and consider the ACT Prep Black Book by Barrett.
The Math review was solid. The science review was pretty limited - I never did find a science review resource that seemed to make a difference.
