Dezarae Henderson, MBA, developed a passion for styling hair at the age of twelve. A self proclaimed former “Product Junkie”, she searched for and purchased hair products claiming to tame her natural hair. After years of chemically processing her hair to achieve certain styles and not achieving ideal outcomes, she decided to take matters into her own hands and make natural hair products. This gave her the opportunity to ensure the ingredients were 100% natural and allowed her to customize recipes to suit her hair needs. Once she took a more natural approach to caring for her hair, Dezarae has grown healthy hair ever since. As a result of numerous requests for hair consultations and advice, Dezarae decided to share these recipes with all of the women searching for answers to managing healthy natural hair. No more trying to find recipes online. I tried the shampoos for dry and normal hair. I had all the ingredients at home. I reused a bpa free bottle from empty natural products. It was awesome!!!! The deep conditioners that pair up with shampoo are awesome too! OMG how about the detangling spray!!!!!! I'm not buying anymore detangling spray or shampoo. Haven't tried the colors yet, but I know that it will turn out. I will experiment on a friend and update.
Items are reasonably easy to find and I got great results. My husband loves the shampoos and conditioners. He has fine straight hair and it works great for him. We are saving money using this book. I will buy hard copy to put with my other helpful books. Oh by the way, I tried a shampoo on my little ones too. 12, 5, and 2 they even helped make it! I spend somewhere around $30.00 a month for their natural hair care products for their type 3A and B hair. Not anymore!!!!!!I will be reusing bottles for their homemade shampoos and detangling sprays.I may continue just buying conditioners for them because some conditioners you can't store due to perishable ingredients. Maybe pina colada conditioner, Lemon Meringue conditioner,and brilliant brewed conditioner can be stored in fridge. Shea's hair splitting conditioner can be stored in air-tight container and also the leave in conditioners. Eventually I won't be purchasing any products. This is a great book and I'm glad I purchased it.

Great Book for your hair care needs!!!

I am in love with the "recipes" in this book! I have naturally curly/frizzy and sometimes coarse hair and it always seems dry. I've tried so many different products that left my hair in worse shape than it started. I'm so glad I found this book!! I found many recipes to be helpful in hydrating my hair. I can't wait to try the hair color recipes next!!!
